PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nickel-metal hydride secondary battery in which time required for initial activating treatment is shortened and cycle life time characteristic is superior. SOLUTION: In this secondary battery, a positive electrode with active material of Ni(OH)2 held on a collector and a negative electrode with hydrogen storage alloy held on a collector are arranged alternately, and alkali electrolyte is used for an electrolyte. In this case, the surface of the Ni(OH)2 and/or the surface of the positive electrode is coated by Li ingredient. |
