PURPOSE:To manufacture a treating tank for domestic sewage, etc. by inserting a tubular body made of a thermoplastic resin in the hot-softened state into a specified blowing mold to form a barrel part and a holding part having a smaller diameter than the barrel part by forcing compressed air into the tubular body. CONSTITUTION:Waste water to be treated such as domestic sewage introduced into a vessel 11 of a treating tank 20 from an inlet 12 is filtered roughly by a filter bag 14A in a filtration chamber 16. The water flows further into a settling and filtration chamber 17 through a communication port 14A at the bottom of a partition plate 14 and is filtered finely by a filter medium 17A and settled. The water flows further into a settling chamber 18 through a communication port 15A in the middle part of a partition plate, where it is settled and discharged from an outlet 13. The above described treating tank is useful for the treatment of several kinds of waste water for deodorization, decolorization, etc. in addn. to filtration by packing filter medium such as filter bag or filter net, activated carbon, diatomaceous earth, ion exchange resin, etc.
