摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent a slack and wrinkle of a paper to enhance a printing quality, by a method wherein; with a forward rotation of a platen, the rotation is so transmitted that a bail roller rotates at a higher peripheral speed than that of the platen, and with a reverse rotation of the platen, the rotation is not transmitted to the bail roller. CONSTITUTION:When a platen 10 rotates in a forward direction (b), the rotation of a platen shaft 12 is transmitted to a bail roller 28 so as to establish a peripheral speed of the bail roller 28 higher than that of the platen 10. Therefore, when a paper 27 is carried, the bail roller 28 slips on the paper 27, thus imparting a tension to the paper 27 in a carrying direction (c). When the platen 10 is rotated in a reverse direction (d) to carry the paper 27 reversely, a clutch mechanism prevents transmission of the reverse rotation to the bail roller 28, and therefore the paper 27 is provided with a tension between the bail roller 28 and pressure rollers 24, 25. In this manner, occurrence of a slack and wrinkle in the paper can be avoided to eliminate an unsatisfactory printing.
