PURPOSE:To form a bobbin for high speed by covering the surface of a core material constituted of rigid material with elastic material whose one end is shorter in axis length than the core material and welding an annular member to the elastic member with pressure and bounding it to the core material with adhesive so as to hold a thread. CONSTITUTION:The circumference of a cylindrical core material 1 formed with rigid material such as plastic material including bakelite, FRP and others or metal is covered, excepting the other end part, with an elastic material 2 such as rubber and others. An annular member 4 constituted of rigid or elastic body is welded, with pressure, to the end face of the elastic member 2 and bonded to the core material 1 with adhesive and a thread holding groove 3 is formed, at the periphery of the end part. Hereby, a bobbin for high speed rotation having sufficient strength and rigidity and not causing damage to the thread can be manufactured.
