<p>PURPOSE:To correct a ratio of longitudinal and transverse sizes of characters to a certain value by providing a character size correcting means which corrects a ratio of longitudinal and transverse sizes of characters, which are recognized by character size information obtained by a character size processing means, to the certain value. CONSTITUTION:A position input device 1 has a coordinate position detecting function to input coordinate position data described on the surface of the device 1 with a pen or the like. This input position data is read in by a controller 3, and position data is used to recognize described characters by the controller 3 and the size of characters is determined. Characters are different in size; but if correction of the character size is designated, a ratio of longitudinal and transverse sizes of a first character is corrected to a certain value to unify the character size. Recognized characters are displayed on a display device 2 in the corrected character size. Thus, characters different in size are corrected to the uniform character size and are displayed.</p> |
