PURPOSE:To prevent the sticking of dust to a medium sliding and contacting surface by forming a groove or a hole-shaped recessed part lying along a direction to intersect the sliding direction of a magnetic recording medium in the area of the medium sliding and contacting surface except the circumference of the magnetic gap. CONSTITUTION:The grooves 12, 13 or the hole-shaped recessed parts lying along the direction intersecting the sliding direction of the magnetic recording medium are formed in the area of the medium sliding and contacting surfaces 6, 7 except the circumference of the magnetic gaps 8a, 10a. Accordingly, the area of a part to slide and be in contact on/with the medium at the medium sliding and contacting surfaces 6, 7 through the grooves 12, 13 is reduced. Thus, static electricity and frictional heat generated at the medium sliding and contacting surfaces 6, 7 by sliding and contact with the medium are reduced, and the sticking of dust to the medium sliding and contacting surfaces 6, 7 can be prevented, and the dropout of a signal at the time of recording and reproduction can be prevented, and the recording and the reproduction can be favorably performed. |
