CARRIER MATRIX SEPARABLY IMPREGNATED WITH REAGENT, MANUFACTURE THEREOF, CARRIER FOR SEPARABLY IMPREGNATED REAGENT AND TESTING DEVICE AND METHOD MEASURING SAMPLE CONTENT

PURPOSE: To improve the stability of an impregnating reagent when the reagent is stored at a high temperature and to quickly separate the reagent when the reagent comes into contact with a sample liquid by using a glass plate on which a carrier matrix is coated with polyvinyl alcohol. CONSTITUTION: The carrier matrix to be separably impregnated with a reagent (A) is formed out of a glass plate (b) coated with polyvinyl alcohol(PVA). It is preferable to coat the glass plate (B) with 0.5-20%, especially, 2.5-10wt.% PVA and to contain a protein, especially,β-galactosidase or a zygote of an antibody andβ-galactosidase in the reagent (A). The above-mentioned matrix can be used for the zygote layer 8 of a test carrier 1 having a sample supplying area 4 composed of the layer 8 and a liquid carrying layer 9 and an evaluating area 6 composed of a color forming layer 11, etc.
