PURPOSE:To eliminate certainly defect in the discharge of ink regardless of the amount of ink left in an ink tank with a simple construction by pressurizing of the ink tank by means of the driving force from the driving motor used for feeding paper only during the recovery action for defective ink discharge. CONSTITUTION:A pulse motor 19 is rotated in the direction that is opposite to that for feeding paper with pressing down of a key to release defect in ink discharge and at the same time a solenoid 25 is energized. When an armature 26 is attracted by the solenoid 25, valves 28 and 34 opens, and tubes 37 and 34 are electrically communicated, and so are tubes 32 and 54. On the other hand a gear 20 is rotated anti-clockwise by a motor 19, and this rotation is not transmitted to a platen gear 24 through a clutch 21 on one hand but transmitted to a cam 58 through a pulley 55 to actuate a pump 41. Then the pressurized air in a cylinder 39 is supplied into a case 17 through a tube 37, and makes the ink flow out of a nozzle 10. The ink that is flowing out is discarded into a waste box 52 through a tube 51 by means of the negative pressure air in a cylinder 40. |
