SEALED LEAD-ACID BATTERY

PURPOSE:To prevent generation of scratches on the surface of an outer jacket by previously fixing a cushion on the outer surface of the outer jacket positioned on both sides of a plate group. CONSTITUTION:A cushion 2 is previously fixed on the outer surface of an outer jacket 7 surrounding a positive plate 4 side, of the whole outer jacket 7. The cushion 2 is made of continuously foamed polyurethane and fixed to the outer jacket 7 by bonding. Since the cushion 2 is fixed to the outer jacket 7 and thickness of a plate group and that of the cushion are constant, unit cells are assembled in an outer case 3 with they connected with tape to form a sealed lead-acid battery.
