<p>PURPOSE: To provide a fast-acting clamping device which can make simple and quick clamping of two members by forming a lever device to generate a clamping force between a first member and the head of the other end of a stud whose one end can be fixed to a second member, and coupling this lever device with a piston of a cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A stud 12 protruding upon penetrating both a hole 3a in a disc member 3 and a hole 9a in a packing 9 has a threaded portion 12b and a flange 12a, and the threaded portion 12b is driven into a threaded portion 4b of a member 4 until the flange 12a comes into contact with the outer surface of the disc 3. A lever 14 is coupled with the rod 1 of a cylinder 5 fixed to the disc 3, and the other end is borne by a link 13 installed on a sleeve 21. The sleeve 21 moves along the stud 12, whose head 18 is lifted with the motion of the rod 1. Thus a fast clamping is obtained by a simple procedure, and the packing 9 is compressed into air-tight condition.</p> |
