PURPOSE:To smooth a speed change by performing it through a one-way clutch with an emblem clutch on from the time of starting the speed change to the time of synchronizing input and output speeds, in the case of a shift down to a speed change shift of emblem clutch action. CONSTITUTION:During running by D-range 4-speed, when a manual valve 50 is selected to 2-range by a shift lever, outputs of both solenoid valves 151, 152 are changed so as to obtain 2-speed, and by suddenly decreasing a pressure of oil of a 4-speed clutch 17 through a shift valve, a 2-speed clutch 15 is maintained with a predetermined oil pressure left as it is because an emblem clutch 19 is turned off. Further the third solenoid valve 153 is actuated on, and the emblem clutch 19 is turned on with a one-way clutch racing. When input and output speeds in the 2-speed clutch 15 are synchronized, power transmission is started by the one-way clutch, next the emblem clutch 19 is engaged by turning off the solenoid valve 153. Thus, a speed change feeling can be improved. |
