The invention concerns a finger protector for doors, both on the hinge side of the door leaf 11 and on the lock side. The invention also provides limited finger protection at the top edge and bottom edge of the door leaf. On the hinge side, the finger protector consists of protective strips 7, 8 either made in one piece or consisting of several parts which can be pushed into each other in the vertical and/or horizontal direction. The protective strips 7, 8 are mounted on the door frame 10 by suspension in conical pins 1a, 1b which are pressed securely into holders 1c, 1d. The protective strips 7, 8 are movable via the pins 1a, 1b in the holders 1c, 1d but also by guiding from the movements of the door leaf via the pins 1e, 1f which slide in upper and lower guide arrangements 2a,2b. On the lock side, the finger protector consists of a damping device in the form of an elastic cube 12 which is placed in the upper corner which the door frame forms on the lock side of the door leaf. The damping device 12 is secured in the corner by means of the fact that it has a velcro washer which is secured against another velcro washer which is fixed to the door frame 10. The damping device 12 is easily moved over to another velcro washer which is fixed to the door dressing when the door has to be closed. An alternative is that 12 has, instead of a velcro attachment, a hinge 13-15 which is fixed in the door dressing and that 12 is folded out and into the door opening as required. <IMAGE> |
