PURPOSE:To obtain a semiconductor laser light source, in which adjustment of an optical axis and the like is easy an the change in optical characteristics due to the change in external environment hardly occurs, by fixing a semiconductor laser and a lens on a fixing table, which is fixed to a stem, and enclosing an optical system including the semiconductor laser and the lens in a cap, which is fixed to the stem. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser 1 is fixed to a first part 3b of a fixing table 3, which is fixed to a stem 4. A lens 2 is fixed to the position of a hole, which is provided at a second part 3d. A cap 5 is provided so as to cover the entire fixing table 3 and fixed to the stem 4 by can-sealing, bonding and the like. A transparent plate is provided at a hole, which is provided at the tip part of the cap 5, which serves as a window 5a. Laser light, which is collimated through the lens 2, is emitted to the outside through said transparent plate. Since the optical system is housed in the cap 5 in this way, the effects from external environment are made less. Since one lens 2 is provided instead of a set of lenses, interference rings due to the multiple reflections within the lenses are not yielded in the output light. |
