<p>PURPOSE:To dispense with the starting circuit of a rotary electric machine for a turbocharger and the like by providing a control means which drives the rotary electric machine and operates a compressor when an output signal is obtained from a rotational decrease detection means. CONSTITUTION:ON/OFF operation of a manual switch 9 is checked, and in the case when it is set ON, a turbine rotational speed Nt is measured by a frequency signal from the fixed coil of a rotary electric machine 3. Then, the measured turbine rotational speed Nt is compared with a specified rotational speed N* (the turbine rotational speed for which electric motor drive is required since a turbine is stopped because of its low rotation). In the case when the rotational speed Nt equivalent to the specified rotational speed N* has not yet been achieved it is compared with a turbine rotational speed Nl which enables electric motor operation without using starting circuit. When the rotational speed Nt is larger than Nl, an electric converter 41 is commanded to electrically drive the rotary electric machine 3, and energize a compressor 22 so as to increase supercharger pressure.</p> |
