PURPOSE:To reduce a connection distance between a drive element and a connecting pad to improve a yield of a bonding wire. CONSTITUTION:With respect to discrete electrodes T1-T64 of adjacent light emitting element arrays LA1-LA40, the T1, T2, T3, ... T31., and T32 are respectively electrically connected to the T64, T63, T62, ... T34, and T33 through wiring patterns 4a, 4b. A half of the output electrodes of drive elements 3a, 3b is respectively connected only to the corresponding wiring patterns 4a, 4b. The drive elements 3a, 3b are driven while the direction of the data is changed over in normal and reverse directions for each of adjacent light emitting element arrays LA1-LA40 by a normal-reverse change-over means. In this manner, the number of connection can be reduced in comparion with a prior art, and connecting pads can be disposed in a line. |
