The invention concerns an arrangement 1 for the dosing of colour paste, which arrangement comprises a dosing space 3 and opening/closing inlet and outlet channels 5, 6 for feeding the paste to the dosing space and removing from it doses of determined amounts. The essential point of the invention is that the opening and closing of the channels 5, 6 is carried out by two discs 7, 8 arranged tightly against each other and able to turn relative to each other, which discs are made of a ceramic material such as aluminium oxide. The disc 8 situated on the channels' side is provided with openings 11, 13 which lead to the channels, while the disc 7 situated on the side of the dosing space has surfaces 15 which close the said openings when required, whereby the dosing space can, by rotating the discs, open out alternately to the inlet channel 5 and to the outlet channel 6. The purpose of the ceramic material of the discs 7, 8 is to effect sufficient sealing and wear resistance between the discs. The invention considers also the use of a ceramic material for valve discs 7, 8, able to rotate relatively to each other, in an arrangement for dosing of colour paste, by which discs the inlet and outlet channels 5, 6 of the arrangement's dosing space can be opened and closed. <IMAGE>
