The keyboard locking method comprises the steps of: taking a BIOS (basic input output system) interrupt and pressing a current hot key; recording key data determined by the user in a CMOS register; reading the recorded data, and if a corresponding key is the hot key, producing a beep sound and transmitting a password byte; sequentially storing character data in the CMOS register; and informing a processor that a security character has been transmitted and providing a security enabling command, thereby reducing manufacturing cost.
