<p>PURPOSE: To minimize total pressure loss for improving efficiency in an appliance by mounting a means capable of utilizing the kinetic energy of the peripheral component of flow velocity in an extraction slot. CONSTITUTION: An annular extraction slot 4 is disposed on a gas turbine casing 3 between the stationary blade wheel 1 and the moving blade wheel 2 of a compressor. The extraction slot 4 is opened in an extraction chamber 5, and the extraction chamber 5 is connected to an extraction tube 6. The inlet area of the extraction slot 4 has a fixed height, and a mini-cascade 7 is disposed at this area. The part of the extraction slot 4 formed subsequently to the mini- cascade 7 is formed as a diagonal diffuser 8. When a secondary airflow is extracted, the flow at the inlet to the extraction slot 4 is directed in an axial direction by the mini-cascade 7. As a result, a peripheral component of flow velocity is converted to static pressure. It is thus possible to reduce total pressure loss.</p> |
