Plastic container (I) for liqs. or gases is claimed, as described in Pat. P3814699. The inner layer consists of several segments bonded together. The inner lining is formed of shells joined together by jointed membranes and/or seams produced by reflection welding, hot wedge pressure welding or friction welding. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) is used esp. for the storage of hot aq. liqs., partic. as a hot water bath, and in liq. filters, dust separators in gas streams, etc.. Modifying the lining from the original seamless type (P 3814699) gives a construction which is more suitable in cases where flanges, brackets, etc. have to be provided inside the container for the installation and replacement of baffles, filter plates, etc..
