WORKING MECHANISM OF MACHINE USED FOR CLEANING OUTER SURFACE OF PIPE LINE

FIELD: erection and repair of pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: mechanism has rotor with sets of cleaning tools fitted on it by means of flexible members which are located perpendicularly relative to longitudinal axis of rotor. Each cleaning tool is made in form of sintered-carbide cutting tip located at angle preferably between 20 and 25 deg relative to longitudinal axis of rotor and secured detachably on holder having holes with spacer tubes 10 for drawing the flexible member and securing the holder with tip on it. One of spacer tubes of each holder is sectional; engageable ends of tubes are bevelled; end of one of engageable tubes is made in form of bell mouth. Leading edge of each set of cleaning tools is provided with rollers whose axis is perpendicular to longitudinal axis of rotor which is embraced by flexible member forming two rows; trailing edge is provided with tensions fitted with spring. EFFECT: optimal cleaning conditions at enhanced durability of cleaning tools; reduced duration of repair in case of wear of cleaning tools. 2 cl, 5 dwg
