PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stripe nonuniformity, moisture resistance, and bleeding prevention and the prevention of wounds by applying an application liquid containing nonspherical colloidal silica and a water-dispersive cationic polymer on an ink receiving layer and drying the liquid. SOLUTION: A liquid in which silica particulates are dispersed (generally 5-15%) is added gradually into a polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution (generally 3-15%) whose pH is kept at about 6-8 and whose temperature is kept at about 40 deg.C with stirring strongly. After the addition, dispersion is done by an ultrasonic dispersion machine, a high speed homogenizer or the like. Next, after various additives being added, viscosity is adjusted to be necessary for application, application on a support and drying are done, and a coat membrane having voids is obtained. A void layer by soft aggregation formation, in order to obtain a high void percentage without deteriorating the fragility of the membrane, a water-soluble binder is preferably crosslinked by a crosslinking agent. The quantity of the membrane applied of an ink receiving layer is more preferably about 10-50 g/m<2> . The solid concentration of an application liquid is especially preferably about 5-20 wt.%. |
