<p>PURPOSE:To excellently connect a recording pattern by using a regenerative signal of a rotary head when a tape-like recording medium is traveling by a capstan at a different speed from that at the recording time and deciding a starting position for recording a signal by the rotary head. CONSTITUTION:A system controller 106 counts an output pulse of an edge detecting circuit 119, and when a number corresponding to the tape rewound quantity is counted out, a main motor 31 is stopped and hence the rotation of the head and the tape travel are ceased. Then, a mode lever is shifted by a loading motor to release a gear 39 and pulley 33 from their intermesh in order to enable the capstan to rotate at its original number of revolutions. At that time, the head is stopped under good tracking condition so that a recording track for the time of resuming the recording is already matched with the track already recorded. Furthermore, an overwrite part can be reduced to <=0.2sec, and hence an excellent consecutive recording can eventually be carried out.</p> |
