The system has a parts storage container and unit cont. a delivery station, a parts separating station and a parts transfer station (27). The container (21) is movable wrt. the unit so that when the container is positioned near the unit the delivery station can be operated so that the assembled parts can be automatically extracted from the container. The transfer station is operated so that the separated parts can be removed from the unit. An Independent claim is also included for a method of delivering parts
