Hydraulic pump for use in vehicle systems

The hydraulic pump system has a pump chamber (14) which is defined by a plate at one side, with a hydraulic control function for the pump system (10). A seal gives a sealing action against the different pressures at zones of the pump (10), and an axial position fixing of the shaft (24) after an easy assembly of the pump system and centering of the plate. The plate is keyed against rotation, with a flat surface against a surface (34) of a section of the housing (16).
