COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING DISEASE IN GRASS AND PREVENTION OF DISEASE IN GRASS USING THE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: A composition for the prevention of disease in grass containing charcoal, sulfate, silicic acid and antagonist microbes is provided to protect Zoysiagrass from Large patch and promote quick recovery of the infected grass. CONSTITUTION: The composition is prepared by the steps of : (i) mixing 100-500g/m2 of charcoal, 30-120g/m2 of sulfate and 50-200g/m2 of silicic acid ; (ii) adding 5-20g of amino acid and 20-40g of urea to 3kg of the mixture ; (iii) intermittent sterilizing the mixture in a polypropylene film bag at 121deg.C for 30min once a day for three days ; (iv) culturing antibiotic resistant germs in a peptone medium at 30deg.C for 3days ; (v) inoculating the germs to the sterilized composition and leaving the composition in an incubator for 15days ; and then (vi) mixing the cultured composition with topdressing soil in a ratio of 2-10:1. 10-500g of the composition per the unit area of the grass are applied to the soil. The composition has an excellent effect of a replacement of synthetic organic agricultural chemical as well as a fertilizer and a nutrient.
