PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slip processing system for many types of slips, which allows users to easily create a slip discrimination dictionary, distribute slip discrimination dictionary information, and mange charges. SOLUTION: If a slip processing terminal 121 fails slip discrimination, the terminal transmits slip image information to an operating center 203. A slip discrimination dictionary manager 111 at the operating center analyzes a cause of the discrimination failure, and renews a slip discrimination dictionary while operating a slip processing system. Subsequently, the slip discrimination dictionary manager 111 transmits the renewed information to the terminal. In addition, when slip discrimination fails, the terminal may also transmit information, which indicates features of the slip type, with the discrimination-failed slip image to the slip discrimination dictionary manager 111. The slip renewed information at the terminal is stored into a usage DB to be used as charge information.
