PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dentition image generating method for generating the outer surface image of the entire dentition with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This dentition generating method which is to generate a dentition image by using a dentition occlusion surface image reader for photographing a dentition occlusion surface image in the mouth and a dentition outer surface image reader for photographing a dentition outer surface image, and is provided with an occlusion surface image reading process S1 for photographing the dentition occlusion surface image by using the dentition occlusion surface image reader, an outer surface image reading process S2 for photographing a dentition outer surface image by using the dentition outer surface image reader, and a width dimension correcting process S3 for correcting the width dimension of each tooth of an outer surface image obtained in the outer surface image reading process with reference to the width dimension of each tooth of an occlusion surface image obtained in the occlusion surface image reading process.
