PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an equipment for processing a garbage capable of effectively controlling a temperature of a bacterial bed and an intake of fresh air by preventing the rotation stop of a rotary blade although a foreign matter is caught by the blade to stir a garbage at all times and continue to supply the fresh air to the bacterial bed and control the temperature, or the like, and capable of effectively deciding the degree of activity of the bacteria. SOLUTION: The garbage is crushed and is stirred by rotating the rotary blade 9 with a drive unit, and the garbage is eliminated by utilizing the bacteria. The rotation stop of the rotary blade 9 is monitored and, if the rotation is stopped, by reversely rotating the rotary blade 9, crushing and stirring of the garbage are maintained without stopping the rotation of the rotary blade 9, a quantity of water generated by processing the garbage is measured and a condition of the bacterial bed is controlled based on this measurement result.
