The cover (1) is made of rubber or a material of similar qualities and comprises a number of parallel positioned transversal folds (2). The fold (3) adjacent to the connecting element (4) integrated in one of the outer ends is normally designed with no circular depression at the outer edge leading to stress acting on the area when the covered joint is excessively bent. The new design of a cover (1) is provided with a relief fold (5) with a shallow depression (6) compensating the bending forces.
