<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a combustion catalyst for treating diesel waste gas, which has a sufficient activity even at a relatively low temperature of 500°C or less and can suppress the deterioration of durability due to the elution of catalyst particles. <P>SOLUTION: This combustion catalyst for treating diesel waste gas is composed of the catalyst particles made of a multiple oxide consisting of potassium oxide, manganese dioxide and/or silicon dioxide and oxide type ceramic particles which carries the catalyst particles. Therein, the multiple oxide constituting the catalyst particles has either form of K<SB>2</SB>O-MgO, K<SB>2</SB>O-5MgO, K<SB>2</SB>O-SiO<SB>2</SB>, K<SB>2</SB>O-2SiO<SB>2</SB>, K<SB>2</SB>O-4SiO<SB>2</SB>, K<SB>2</SB>O-5MgO-2SiO<SB>2</SB>, K<SB>2</SB>O-MgO-5SiO<SB>2</SB>and K<SB>2</SB>O-MgO-3SiO<SB>2</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
