PERSONAL AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM, PERSONAL AUTHENTICATION METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an unauthorized use by a malicious user to enhance the reliability of an authentication result, in a personal authentication system or the like that is so structured as to execute personal authentication in response to an authentication request from a server.

SOLUTION: This personal authentication system has: a personal authentication terminal 1 which has a plurality of authentication means or authentication levels and in which the authentication means or the authentication level to be used is variable; and the server 2 for carrying out an authentication request to the personal authentication terminal 1. The personal authentication terminal 1 has a means 30 for generating authentication terminal information including the information of a present position or a present time to be transmitted to the server. The server 2 has: a means 27 for transmitting authentication means/level designation information for designating the authentication means or the authentication level used for authentication to the personal authentication terminal; and a means 26 for changing the authentication means/level designation information transmitted to the personal authentication terminal 1 according to the authentication terminal information received from the personal authentication terminal 1.
