<p>The invention's patent concerns a process for transforming expanded polystyrene (ISOPOR®) into Sulfonated Polystyrene lonomers (SPS), neutralized with different ions of interest, ranked in the periodic table (MSPS), for use in several technologies, either in gel, solid or liquid state, such as: compatibilizing agent in polymer areas, composites, additive in mortars and concrete; lubricant; propellant material in permselective membrane technologies used in biomedicine and fuel cells, such as hydrogen among others; and as constituent in paints.</p> |
