The method involves aligning a recorder (10) for component of an image speed in an image deflection direction perpendicular to grid lines (14), and integrating grid line signals of each grid line with grid line signals of the other grid lines, which contain homogenous image information based on image movement. The recorder is aligned for a picture movement practically perpendicular to the grid lines. Image elements are aligned in such a way that the elements cross each grid line in integral multiples of an image diversion period, preferably in one period. An independent claim is also included for a device for the improvement of halftone image recording of a scene.
