PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device that can set appropriately data about discharge and no-discharge even though no nozzle which replaces a malfunctioning nozzle and does not discharge ink droplets does not exist.SOLUTION: An inkjet recording device, which performs recording on the basis of image data in which one pixel is represented by pixel values in n-bits by making a recording head to scan multiple times a region corresponding to one pixel according to the number of recording dots corresponding to the pixel value, memorizes pixel values that one pixel can obtain and code information which specifies discharge and no-discharge of respective ink droplets of a plurality of nozzles in respective multiple times of scanning. When a discharge defect occurs in any of the plurality of nozzles, a nozzle that substitutes for the nozzle in which the discharge defect occurs is determined from the plurality of nozzles, code information corresponding to the substitute nozzle is set based on the code information corresponding to the nozzle in which the discharge defect occurs. At this time, either one, whichever discharges ink droplets more frequently according to the pixel values, of the code information corresponding to the replaced nozzle and code information corresponding to the nozzle in which the discharge defect occurs, is set as code information corresponding to the substitute nozzle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
