摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmission device which can enhance transmission torque without enlarging a physique in a radial direction.SOLUTION: A rotor 30 is formed into a cylindrical shape, and relatively rotatably arranged between an external cylinder part 41 and an internal cylinder part 42 of a rotor case 40. A magnetic viscous fluid 60 is arranged in a gap between the rotor 30 and the external cylinder part 41, and in a gap between the rotor 30 and the internal cylinder part 42. The magnetic viscous fluid 60 is increased in viscosity when magnetized in a magnetic field which is generated by an electromagnet 50, and can transmit rotation between the rotor 30 and the rotor case 40. By this constitution, by elongating sizes of the rotor 30, the external cylinder part 41 and the internal cylinder part 42 in an axial direction, external friction forces acting on clearances between the magnetic viscous fluid 60 and the rotor 30, and between the magnetic viscous fluid 60 and the external cylinder part 41 and the internal cylinder part 42 are increased, and an internal friction force of the magnetic viscous fluid 60 is also increased. Accordingly, transmission torque can be enhanced without enlarging a physique in a radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
