PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounting inductor without polarity capable of reducing thermal stress and mechanical stress to a coil and eliminating contact resistance generated between the coil and an external terminal, in a surface mounting inductor that incorporates the coil in an element assembly having a magnetic body, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A surface mounting inductor comprises coils 2, and an element assembly that incorporates two coils 2. Each coil 2 comprises: a first wound part 2c wounded with a lead wire having a rectangular cross section; a second wound part 2d wound so as to be shifted to a position adjacent to the first wound part 2c along a winding axis; and a third wound part 2e wound so as to be shifted to a position in an opposite direction to the first wound part 2c along the winding axis and so as to be partially overlapped with the second wound part 2d. End parts of the lead wire are led out from outer peripheries of the first wound part 2c and the third wound part 2e, and set as lead-out end parts 2b. The winding axes of the two coils 2 incorporated in the element assembly are parallel to the mounting surface of the element assembly, and a surface of the lead-out end part is extended to a surface of the mounting surface of the element assembly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
