The present invention discloses a waterborne alkyd enamel comprising: 55-75 parts by weight of a waterborne alkyd resin; 10-20 parts by weight of a pigment; and 15-30 parts by weight of water. The present waterborne alkyd enamel utilizes water as a diluent, and can thereby reduce the production cost by about 60%, compared with a method utilizing a solvent oil as a solvent. Also, the waterborne alkyd enamel has improved safety factors and emits significantly lower amounts of volatile organic compounds (VOC) during the production, transportation and application processes, and has the flash point of a non-hazardous compound. Further, the present waterborne alkyd enamel has a technical index matching or exceeding the index of domestic products. Further, the present waterborne alkyd enamel has the benefits of being safe, environmentally friendly and widely applicable and can serve as a special finish enamel that is suitable for use as a topcoat for oily products of various types. |
