PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with small thickness and a reduced size of a bezel.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel that includes a display area and a non-display area surrounding the display area, a light guide plate located under the liquid crystal display panel and having a flat polygonal shape that includes a first side, second side, third side, and fourth side, and a light source adjacent to the light guide plate.
