PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a connection strength between a core of a worm wheel and a rim part where an outer periphery of the metallic core is covered by a synthetic resin rim more than that of the prior art product.SOLUTION: A core 1A of a worm wheel has: an axial one end surface formed with a first annular recess 12; the other axial end surface formed with a second annular recess part 13; and a third annular recess part 14 formed at a radial outer region of the first annular recess part 12. A rim part 2A has: a first inner peripheral part 22 fixed to the first annular recess part 12; a second inner peripheral part 23 fixed to the second annular recess part 13; and a salient part 24 fitted to the third annular recess part 14. The core 1A further has a spline 15a and an outer peripheral part having a cylindrical surface. Then, in accordance with the process of manufacture of the worm wheel, the rim part 2A is integrally formed with the core 1A through injection molding of synthetic resin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
