The invention comprises dyes of the following general formulae wherein D 1 to D 9 and E 1 to E 9 represents C 1-4 alkyl radicals wherein B 1 stands for a C 1-4 substituted or unsubstituted alkyl radical, G 1 for a hydrogen atom or for a C 1-2 alkyl or alkoxy radical; wherein A 2 stands for a hydrogen, chlorine or bromine atom, B 2 for a substituted or unsubstituted C 1-4 alkyl radical, G 2 for a hydrogen atom or a C 1-2 alkyl or alkoxy radical; wherein A 3 stands for hydrogen, chlorine or bromine, B 3 for an alkyl, halogenoalkyl or cyanoalkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxymethyl, phenoxymethyl or phenoxyhalogenomethyl radical, G 3 for a hydrogen atom or C 1-2 alkyl or alkoxy radical Y 3 for CO, COO or SO 2 wherein A 4 stands for hydrogen, chlorine or bromine, B 4 for C 1-4 alkyl, G 4 for a hydrogen atom or C 1 - 2 alkyl or alkoxy radical Y 4 for CO, COO or SO 2; wherein A 5 stands for hydrogen, chlorine or bromine, B 5 for a C 1-4 substituted or unsubstituted alkyl radical, G 5 for a hydrogen atom or a C 1-2 alkyl or alkoxy radical, X for a C 1-2 , alkyl which may be substituted by chlorine and Y 5 for COO or SO 2 ; wherein A 6 stands for hydrogen, chlorine or bromine, B 6 for a C 1-4 substituted or unsubstituted alkyl radical, G 6 for chlorine or bromine and M 6 for a cyano, nitro, trifluoromethyl or methylsulphonyl group and Y 6 for -CO-, - COO- or -SO 2 -; wherein A 7 stands for hydrogen, chlorine or bromine, B, for a C 1-4 substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, L 7 for an alkanoylamino group with 1-3 carbon atoms in the alkyl radical or methylsulphonyl and Y, for-CO-; wherein A 8 stands for hydrogen, chlorine or bromine, B 8 for a halogenalkyl or cyanalkyl having 1-4 carbon atoms or alkoxymethyl radical, G 8 for hydrogen or a C 1-2 alkyl or alkoxy radical and X for a methyl group and wherein A 9 stands for chlorine or bromine, B 9 for a substituted or unsubstitued alkyl radical, preferably the methyl, chloromethyl, ethyl or #- chloroethyl radical and G 9 for a C 1-2 alkyl or alkoxy radical. The dyes are prepared by conventional diazotization and coupling procedures and a large number of examples furnished. The dyes are suitable for dyeing, padding and printing synthetic and semi-synthetic fibres especially those from linear aromatic polyesters or cellulose esters. |
