<p>4- N-(5-Nitro-2-thiazolyl)-formimidoyl -thiomorpholine (I) and its salts are pharmaceutical and veter parasiticides esp. against schistosomes and amoebae: They are prepared from 2-substd. -5-nitrothiazoles (II) by conversion into (I), y may be (a) -N=CH-X where X is a residue exchangeable with thiomorpholino (e.g. etherified) OH; or OH esterified with org. or inorg. acids, (b) free or reactively substd. NH2, (c) S-oxothiomorpholino-methyleneamino which is reduced to thiomorpholinomethyleneamino. (I) can also be prepared by nitration of 4- -(2thiazolyl)-formimidoyl thiomorpholine.</p> |
