PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact and simple rotary kiln that comprises the raw material feeder in which the raw material is fed in order by the vertical vibration of the feeding plate having wavy grooves cut on the surface by the rotation of a pair of rollers rolling on the bed face of the rotary kiln, the scraper type conveyer having a plurality of slits and the bed for the rotary kiln lined with fine ceramic on the semi-circular furnace body. SOLUTION: Cullet 23 is charged manually or with a conveyer to the feeder 7, which vibrates vertically to feed the cullet in a raw along the wavy groove cut on the feeding plate. The cullet 23 loaded on the bed of the kiln in a raw is preheated at the part A, then comes into the kiln and is heat-treated by the burner 5 and is cooled down at the part B after it goes out of the kiln. After cooling, the heat-treated cullet is scraped out as the product by the conveyer 22. This rotary kiln can be simply used for firing, heating or drying for not only cullet but also other small-size things. |
