PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malfunction such as an air bag door to block up an air bag installing part floats upward from an instrument panel surface. SOLUTION: In an air bag installing structure of an automobile where an air bag main body housing opening part is formed in an instrument panel main body, and an air bag main body is incorporated inside this air bag main body housing opening part, and the air bag main body is supported by a steering support member through a bracket for an air bag, an engaging hole 15 is formed in a support bracket 12 arranged on the steering support member 11, and a bending part 9c to engage with the engaging hole 15 is formed in a lower end part of the bracket 9 for an air bag, and in a condition where the bending part 9c is engaged with the engaging hole 5, the bracket 9 for an air bag is screw-fitted to the support bracket 12, and upward floating of an air bag door 6 is prevented. |
