<p>In a process for continuous packaging of articles in a sheet of heat shrinkable material, weakened transverse zones are formed in the material at regular intervals, articles are placed between successive zones of weakness, the sheet is continually wrapped around successive articles to form a continuous tube open at the ends, the tube is heated in the weakened zones to sever it and to form an independent section for each article. By separating the process of packaging from that of sectioning the tube, higher output rates can be secured.</p> |
