<p>High-brightness articles are produced from alloys contg. (in %) Cu 1.5-3, Mg 0.5-1.5, Si 0-0.7, Fe up to 0.1 Mn up to 0.5, Ti up to 0.2 and Zr up to 0.4, the balance being Al (purity >=99.8%). The material is aged at room temp. for 1 month, or at 160-200 degrees C for 12 hrs. Subsequently the material is subjected to eloxation. It has good mechanical properties and can be used for decorative purposes in building construction, motor cars, jewellery etc.</p> |
