PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flashlight with superior optical characteristics by changing the dispersion of light beam of the lamp by moving a head assembly back and forth and facilitating the flashlight and repeatedly chargeable by an external chargers. SOLUTION: A head assembly of this flashlight is moved back and forth through the thread interlocked with a barrel by rotating the head and at the same time a lens and a reflecting mirror are also moved and displaced relative to a lamp bulb, so that the dispersion of the light beam radiated through the lens can be changed. In the case that the head is rotated and charging is in on-state at the time of charging, a tail cap/switch assembly 94 shuts a circuit in a scallop-shape region 74 of a switch contact 71 and a ground contact 72 and when a switch knob 67 is turned counterclockwise by 30 degrees, the switch contact 71 is connected with the earth contact in the region 74. The flashlight is installed under these conditions to fit and bring the contacts into contact with positive and negative contacts of a prescribed charging housing, and consequently a prescribed DC electric power can be supplied to a chargeable battery. |
