PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a three-dimensional image with few image distortion by calculating an actual phase quantity of this time at every parallactic calculation area and obtaining the actual phase quantity of this time at every prescribed unit area in one field screen, based on it. SOLUTION: CPU 530 calculates depth information at every parallactic calculation area in one field screen at every field, based on an image feature quantity concerning image distance, which is calculated by a circuit 512 for calculating data in various kinds of screens. Moreover, CPU 530 executes a phase calculation processing for calculating the phase quantity at every parallactic area, based on depth information at every parallactice calculation area in one field which is obtained by a depth information calculation processing. A parallactic control circuit 518 generates the actual phase quantity at every image element based on the actual phase quantity at every parallactic calculation area which is obtained from CPU 530. A right eye parallactic generation circuit 516 and a left eye parallactic generation circuit 517 execute horizontal phase control in accordance with the actual phase quantity corresponding to the image element which is obtained by the parallactic control circuit 518. |
