Storing channel locations for stations in tuner equipment

The method allows one channel number to be exchanged with a channel number of a location which is already occupied. In an insert mode, the channel locations are shifted upwards when a new channel is stored. The channel locations, channel numbers and/or station descriptions are displayed as a list on a screen. By selecting groups of locations, several channels can be exchanged or inserted at once.
