PURPOSE:To eliminate variation of gap of ball bearing due to thermal expansion thus to stabilize the rotation by employing planar rolling groove in the inner ring of ball bearing at the target side of a rotary outer ring rotary anode X-ray tube thereby eliminating restriction in axial direction. CONSTITUTION:A rotary outer ring rotary anode X-ray tube is formed such that the rotary member 2 including a target 1 is rotated while being supported at the outer ring side of ball bearings 3, 4. The inner ring rolling groove 3b of the ball bearing 3 at the target 1 side is made planar to eliminate restriction in the axial direction while the curvature of the rotary outer ring rolling groove 3a is made approximately same with the curvature of the ball to facilitate rotary driving of ball. Consequently, variation of gap of ball bearing due to thermal expansion in the axial direction caused on the considerable temperature difference between the rotary side and the static side is eliminated while no slippage will occur at the outer ring side resulting in stabilization of rotation for long term. |
