PURPOSE:To enable the discrimination of relatively accurate temp. even at a dark place, by performing the display of temp. by utilizing volumetric change in place of the change in a color. CONSTITUTION:A temp. display material foaming at specific temp. to show volumetric expansion is held to a flat non-foaming state to form a temp. display material 1'. The temp. display material 1' is formed as a laminate consisting of layers 1a, 1b, 1c different in indication temp. and contacted with the surface of matter of which the temp. must be measured. When indication temp. is relatively low, only the layer 1a expands and the other layers do not expand. As mentioned above, because the temp. display material expands at specific temp. and displays said temp., the temp. of a relatively dark place can be easily known from a separated position. When a temp. measuring chamber is pitch- dark, the temp. display material is taken out to a bright place after the measurement and it may be confirmed whether said temp. display material expands by the naked eye. |
